Well, flowers for the garden and my Mum's birthday present were on the agenda for today's little jaunt.
Some delightful flowers...that I did not buy. |
A six week old Plymouth Barred Rock that I did buy. |
In my defence, I did manage to drive past the 'Poultry For Sale' sign once. The second time wasn't quite so successful.
I remembered to buy my Mum her present though :)
.....
dear sweet chook, you must be excited to see how her character will develop. Her name?
ReplyDeleteIsn't she! I am so excited! Its been ages since we've had anything slightly chick-like, her peeping is soooooo cute!
DeleteI can't wait to watch her grow from a gangly chick into a buxom hen :D
Her name? I've nearly decided, honest! :D x
Only 1 chick? That shows willpower! ;)
ReplyDeleteHa ha, chicken maths! x
DeleteHaha! What a funny photo! She is such a cute little girl!
ReplyDeleteThank you! x I think she's going to be quite the character...help! :Dx
DeleteRachy....
ReplyDeleteYou can buy flowers any day of the week. I love your new black and white passenger chick.
Rosemary
Rosemary, I very much like your thinking. The flowers will still be there next time :)
DeleteAnd thank you, though I think she would've liked to have been the driver! xx
Wherever you got her - she is absolutely amazing quality barred rock.. I'd go back for more.
ReplyDeleteVery striking!
Thank you, that's very kind of you to say :) x
DeleteShe's my first BR, so I'm a complete novice with this breed xxxxx
You have a true heritage Barred Rock. Nice clear barring, beautiful girl. You are really lucky! :)
Delete:)
DeleteBarred Rocks are not that common over here, so this BR novice got lucky!
How lovely, she is such a sweetie.
Thank you Aoxa xxxxx
