Summer with the flock

All of the girls enjoyed the lovely summer we were lucky to have in the UK this year, not just Annie! (She's the most curious about the camera, the novelty has worn off for everyone else!)
Bedtime.

Phone calls are not private in the garden.

Ruby getting chicky cuddles

More chicky cuddles!

Violet starting her moult. (The darker feathers near her crop are the new ones)

All of the girls together in one photo - amazing!

Christmas is on its way!

Robin Redbreast stays for lunch :)

And thank you dear blogger friends, for the lovely messages xxxxx

  1. our Melanie has decided this week to start her moult, I'vetold her she's gonna need those lost feathers to keep warm in the wind and rain but did she listen?

  2. Our poor chicks don't get to walk freely although I wish they could. We have so many hawks that hang around trying to get them that we have to fence in their yard and cover the top too.

    1. :) Thank you!!! X
Sadly, they don't looked like that now. It's been raining and they are mostly moulting. Oh yes, it's a whole different look now!

Apart from Annie and her brand, spanking new big girl feathers!

  4. Lovely happy chickens in a beautiful garden. My girls will soon be molting also. Thy always seem to wait until it is almost too late for them to stay warm as the weather turn cold rather quickly. Silly girls.

My gals have always been kind to my grass, just politely nibble off the tops.

      My flowers however…
